In 2022, the 11th edition of the Mondial du Chasselas saw 686 wines in competition (the record having been reached in 2019 with 867 samples, before the pandemic), including 120 foreigners, mainly from Germany and France.
The main category was won by Les Moines 2021, an AOC Chablais Villeneuve Grand cru from Serge Diserens, but the absolute best score was obtained by the winner of the Old Vintages category (7 years and more) with 95.9 points/100 ! This is Roche Ronde AOC Lavaux St-Saphorin 1990, therefore 32 years old, which illustrates the incredible capacity of Chasselas to age.
The Roche Ronde 1990 received the first Vinofed prize awarded as part of the Mondial du Chasselas during the award ceremony on June 24 at the Château d'Aigle.
